This time, Adobe's collaboration with Google and Yahoo allows webmasters, SEO and SEM industries to take proactive approach towards the web industries. The time has come to identify the Shockwave Flash files to be recognized by the major search engines while indexing the website.

Now search engine can index static text and links within .SWF files along with pre-existing RIAs (Rich Internet Applications) which may include Flash file format, Shockwave Flash (SWF) efficiently. Prior to this, search engines were not able to identify the media-rich interactive web sites using Flash which was brought by Macromedia in 1997.

"We are initially working with Google and Yahoo to significantly improve search of this rich content on the web, and we intend to broaden the availability of this capability to benefit all content publishers, developers, and end users," Adobe said.

Initially Google has already included the optimised Flash Player, while Yahoo plans to add this technology to its Yahoo Search very soon. Meanwhile, discussion to make this technology more broadly available among other search engines becomes hot debate at this juncture.
